This is my first post on here 😀
Currently I have a gtx 670 on my rig and I was wondering if I bought the gtx 1070 would I have to remove the 670 or can I add the 1070 to my rig and utilize both graphics cards?
Also would it have any greater effects on my performance?

Solution

No you can not use two different graphic cards together, they have to be the same, a GTX 670 belongs with another GTX 670, however brands do not matter, if you have an MSI GTX 1070 and a EVGA GTX 1070, you're fine, but is recommended to use two identical cards, for instance, 2 MSI GTX 1070 as SLI. If it was possible for your 2 graphic cards to do SLI with the 670 and 1070, then the 1070 would behave as if it was a 670. But this scenario is not probable and will not...

Just upgrade to a GTX 1070 and sell the other one or donate it.

You can use both graphics cards. You cannot use them in sli, you can set it so that the 670 is your physX card, but it probably would be better for you to just leave it out of your build. Since its an older card it likely would likely not work as well as letting the 1070 run the physX.
