Hi,

This has been hard to try figure out but I just bought 8GB or Corsair Vengence Pro Blue 1866mhz RAM and put it in my Gigabyte 990FXA UD3 motherboard along with my AMD 8350 but when I get in my PC it says 8.00GB (3.98 Usable) I have Windows 7 64bit and the memory was supported in the memory support list. Any idea?

Thanks :)

Here is a screen of my processes. I closed the Google chrome and that got rid of about 20% but RAM usage isnt the problem. Its the missing 4GB of RAM. Look

I will. I tried setting it to 1866mhz as its supposed to be but it says an error and doesn't boot so I have to keep it at 1333mhz. So not only do I have half the RAM but half the speed as well.

yeah I did that :) 1 stick works perfect the other though didn't work in the first 2 slots only in the last one. But instead it says 7.00GB usable which is better than 4. So Ill prob RMA and if that doesn't work ill have to RMA the motherboard for faulty DIMM slots. Thanks for the help.

Yes, Windows and other tasks are going to use some ram.
