Question V-NAND m.2 work with my MB?

I have the Gigabyte Z390 Designare MB. Will V-NAND work with this MB. It’s a Samsung V-NAND SSD 970 Pro NVMe M.2

Yes it will 100% compatible.

Thank you, I want to get a second m.2. Is it worth the extra $ for the V-NAND. The 1TB is for my primary. I want to get a 512GB as a scratch drive for video. I also have a standard SSD for programs

I only use 970's , so in my opinion yes , but not necessary.

So what really has me confused now is that the more expensive 970 pri e is version 3

If you intend to write 100 GB a day to an SSD as in frequent editing video, perhaps indeed perhaps a Pro is warranted, as it has about at least twice the write durability over an EVO...

My own 960 EVO only has a total of 16 TB of data written in ~ 2 years time, about 600 GB written per month...; certainly, it's warranty will lapse long before it's typical TBW suggested lifetime
