Hi all!
Mine TN 27'' lg 27GK750F had died, so I considering buying new monitor... My brother gave me his old 22'' monitor while mine was in reapair.
Right now I play mostly Escape from Tarkov. When I lunched it on 22'' monitor I was amazed how sharp and clear image had become. Both monitors are TN, so I figured it's because of PPI (1080p on 27''vs 1080p on 22'').
Basicly now I'm wanna buy a good 24'' monitor. Problem is, almost all of them is TN, and I don't want that.
I have found IPS monitor I liked - https://www.amazon.co.uk/AOC-24G2U-BK-Widescreen-Multimedia/dp/B07Y3RYLVH
Here is the question. IPS monitor have Glow effect. In games like EFT it's really important to spot enemies hiding in the dark corners. Is this gonna hinder overall visibility in dark places? Is visibility enchantments on IPS better or worse than on TN (ballance of black etc) or VA?
What should I choose? I play mostly FPS, the AOC-24G2U-BK I found is ok for my taste (responce time, HZ ets.). The only concern is Dark places visibility

Sorry for my broken english. Thank you.

Edit.
Ok, I researched and found out that it whould be better for me to find good TN monitor. Probably BenQ XL2546. It has good blackEQ and cool "dyac" feature.

TN and VA would be similar for "deeper" blacks (higher contrast). IPS will have a glow.

TN has the worst off-center viewing color shift. VA is middling. IPS has almost no color shift.

I'd personally choose IPS or VA. Not TN. That AOC monitor you linked looks nice.

The glow of IPS monitors is no worse than the washed look of a TN. One day I need to take some photo's of my AoC TN vs Asus ROG IPS. I think the glow scares people off having never seen it.

If you have a store with good monitors on display I'd suggest you have a look for yourself.

Having just recently switched to IPS, will never go back to a TN. I play lots of games too and have no issues seeing people in black/shadow areas.

Hello! Sorry to bump this back but I also have a LG 27GK750F-B. When you say your monitor died, what actually happened to it?
I ask because mine went full blank after 18 months of use and I'm gathering info to file a complaint against LG so they give me my money back as this seems to be a recurrent problem with this model.
