My main question is about the power supply its 250w i think and most cards say 300w recomended.

Its just an old Dell but I would like to get a card for it.

300w is recommended for the one you linked. For your PC, I would recommend bumping it up to a 500w at the very least. 300w is minimum for that specific card, but you have to include the rest of the power draw of your PC in there too, and what it will be under load.

Hello... Typically the case size limits the physical size of the PS wattage that can installed... re-build the components into a standard ATX PS size case, and your wattage/GPU options increase. The GPU can be your most power hungry device in a Computer and to the PS... also with any blizzard game, when increasing the "Eye candy" settings.

The best low watt gaming GPU would be a GTX750... @ 55-60 watts... the GT730 with DDR3 memory comes in at 23 watts?... The difference to your PS @12Vdc is only about 2 amps? between them. The MB PCIe slots are typically designed to provide 75 watts of GPU power from them, and was the design consideration in the NON PS-exterior powered GTX750 and lower models. If the GPU requires more than 75 watts, then a external connection is needed from the PS.

All you can do is try it and see your results... higher "Eye candy" settings will increase the power use, heat, and load on your PS... Thus if you keep the game setting on low-medium Graphic settings, you might not exceed your PS limits, and be "playable".

But typically a GT model is OLD technology VS a GTX model, and is for office/business PC graphic needs as you can see from the passmark charts...

I run a GTX760 in Starcraft2 and I use Vsync'd 60fps, I get some 24fps drops in large maps and 8 players games... using Medium graphic settings... it is ample "eye candy" and playable.

Spending $$ and planning on a Gaming GPU, is a constant builder quest... but I feel you will be quite limited with a GT730 as a Diablo/Blizzard game card... no matter what your PS is rated at. B /
