well since its meant for the livingroom, its definitely innovative, but what about the A,B,X,Y,RT,RB for some button mashing fighters....? seems as tho valve hasn't thought of that, will be keeping my XBOX360 wireless.. :)

Wow so many comments from people who either can't read or just did not bother to read the short post.

I am impressed with the openness of their approach, I think the design is fresh and innovative. Just the right/left hand accommodation is great.
I would like to be a tester.

@billgatez

ever use a cell phone with digital controls on the screen? how many of those do you think "god, i wish everything controlled like this"

i love how everyone here who says "i want analogue sticks" is downvoted for doubting the almighty valve

you know why we don't like this? because valve has clout, take a look at tablets before ipad and after
take a look at smartphones before and after iphone
if this sells well (because its valve) i can see getting real sticks being harder and harder and being forced to use digital analog sticks.

bad ideas like this need to be nipped in the bud.
i just honestly can't see this as a good design for games.

The last time the OS interrupted even one of my games was when I was running Windows 98. From Windows XP on I have not once had a problem even close to that. And Windows 8.1 does even better. And I have not had to disable any Windows service because the out of box experience is just great the way it is. Install the OS update drivers DX and such and game on. That is really all there is to it.
