Valve's SteamOS Not a Replacement for Windows 8

I would have bought it if it was a windows replacement..Hate all these Windows problems with registry that always happen that make me have to reformat my computer all the time..

ofcourse its a replacement. i put steam on ubu12.04, 13.10 and manjaro. i can play in a big picture and when done, i have a full desktop. and surely you can add repos to debian to get the same functionality. windows gamers are probably going to stream but show me any linux distro that isnt a replacement for win8.

SteamOS is for the TV, games and entertainment, for file management and work programs as well as games and entertainment with Steam on Linux there is Ubuntu and many, many others!Ubuntu is a fantastic replacement for Windows 8 and it will play any Steam OS game with them both being Debian-Linux!
