Hi everyone. I'll just get to it:

x570 Aorus Elite

Ryzen 7 5800x

4070ti

Samsung 980 Pro 1TB SSD

G.Skill 32GB (16x2) 3600mhz 16cl

Recently, within the last two weeks, following issues:

  1. Installed Warframe on steam. Also installed it on Epic (I RMT, sue me, could only do so through Epic) Warframe would crash sometimes on steam (UE errors, mostly DX orientated). Works pretty good on Epic.
1a) FF7 Rebirth works fine (max settings, 1440p/144, so fairly demanding)

2) Recently installed BF 2042 through steam... has to launch through EA. Major issues began here.
Game would not launch. Repaired EasyAntiCheat. Game would sometimes launch, crash, various EAA errors... tried to reinstall/rollback drivers.

Error messages suggesting insufficient memory/RAM. SSD had 100gb, made more room. Eventually got it to work and reinstalled driver.

Game worked for a half hour, went to bed.

Last Night

3) Game would not launch/BSOD'd memory_management (ok, so RAM I get it)

Steam and Discord both randomly shutting down and immediately restarting.

Google Chrome windows would die (get the oh snap message) but would work when refreshed.

Reseated RAM, tried each stick. No change.

Also got system_exception BSOD.

4) Tried to shut PC down. Wouldn't turn off. Manually hit switch and unplugged. Cleaned/blew it out. Reset CMOS.

PC would not boot. Black screen. Eventually loaded into repair mode. Attempted to repair/reinstall windows via cloud (I have my USB... somewhere)

Hung on 70%, failed, no changes made.

Booted into desktop.

Tried again to roll back driver. Message stating publisher of driver was unknown...

DDU'd drivers, as I attempted to reinstall current drivers from nvidia. Worked. As I attempted to update, August 2024 driver auto-installed?

Update to current driver also got publisher unknown error...

Left it at August 2024 driver as I had no issues with that. Booted Manor Lords... Not Enough Memory to Render error.

Loaded into BIOS and re-enabled xmp (my bad, I forgot)

Rebooted Manor Lords. Worked.

Booted Warframe and went to populated zone. Worked.

Booted FF7 Rebirth, worked until Fatal Error, but FF7Re is known to have that error sometimes, not entirely abnormal.

Checked temps, CPU has always ran hot even with AIO (70 - 89C under load)

Do sometimes use FanControl for custom curve.

Did a partial memtest which did show some errors... couldn't access any dumps.

No graphic artifacts/errors outside of initial Manor Lords error which went away after re-enabling XMP Profile.

I'm leaning toward my RAM, but realize this could also be corrupt files/my ssd (health check said status OK), or even my CPU/Mobo...

I'm okay with all of that, I just REALLY don't want it to be my GPU, which for all intents and purposes seems fine and has had no other issues.

TL😀R

Various crash/BSOD errors. I'll try to get dump files when I get home from the office. Haven't had a chance to fully re-test, possible the problem was fixed but I sincerely doubt it.

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

You speak of BSoD's, we will need to go through your .dmp files. Host them on a site akin to DropBox and pass on a link for us to look through.

Thanks.

Going to run additional tests/trouble shooting when I get home, will grab dumps when I can tonight. Figured I'd list symptoms for now.

Appreciate help

From now on note EVERY bugcheck. Things like MEMORY_MANAGEMENT or WATCHDOG do give great hints.

You could be looking at bad RAM, bad board traces from a overtightened CPU cooler, or a bad CPU since all those things contribute to Memory. In my experience, if the bugcheck KEEPS CHANGING but still hovers around MEMORY_MANAGMENT or CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED stuff it tends to be a problem with the CPU itself and can sometimes be alleviated by disabling "C-States" in the motherboard's BIOS

Appreciated. The most common BSOD is Mem_Man. I haven't had WATCHDOG or C_P_D.

Just MEM_MAN and SYSTEM_EXCEPTION.

Maybe 3 - 4 BSOD's so far.

I'll update tonight!
