Various PC issues

My PC is an assembled PC. It has been giving me some problems which i tried fixing myself but now its driving me nuts. The thing is basically CRC issues and games crashing on startup. Here is the situation: when i install or extract something from my external hard disk than the installation usually goes through but the game crashes at startup or if playable than crashes at some point in the game (always at the same point everytime) and if i copy the installation folder, file or rar file to my internal HDD than it gives of error of which CRC errors are the most common. Please Help. The games crashes even if i install it from an original disk and Yes all games are above recommended specification

Sounds like an issue with HDD.
If your HDD is WD scan it with this program

Well, have you tried update drivers for storage? You can get application called SlimDrivers it will scan your pc and automatically find new drivers for your hardware. And it's free.
