today according to hwinfo64 I noticed my i76700k Vcore max was 1.308V core 0 vid 1.314V core 1 vid 1.309V core 2 vid 1.305V core 3 vid 1306V usually cpu vcore can get up to 1.292V but it"s the first time it spike up to 1.308V. .i have i76700k Not overclocked and gigabyte z170x gaming 5 bios at default settings .

For some reason, motherboard manufacturers are tossing in high voltage presets for their "auto" overclocks. So yes this is normal. As a matter of fact I have the same processor and see this behavior as well even if I have set a lower value. It seems to follow whatever value you set as well in the same range.

Anything over 1.2V on the 6700k isn't stock.

So perhaps sosolola has turbo boost on and that is the vcore that it is getting to?
