[SOLVED] Vega 56 upgrade to a RX 5700 XT worth it?

Will it be worth it upgrading my Vega 56 Strix to a RX 5700 XT Red Devil? I've seen that my vega 56 has been lacking in some newer games at 1440p. I'll be playing at and aiming for 1440p@60fps on ultra.

I have no idea if it'll be worth it to spend 420€ on the RX 5700 XT, from what ive heard is that the driver issues have been fixed for the most part if not completely.

and to add to the performance boost i'd be getting is that the Red Devil will be alot quieter and cooler than my Vega 56 under load so thats a major plus for me.

These ones are going to be a big step up, to begin with, ray tracing performance that is more than just a proof of concept level. According to the rumour mill, you should get 2080Ti performance from 2060 price point. Mostly because AMD is looking competitive in the top end, finally.

I have the exact model you're talking about and can run any game at max settings 1440p without any issues. Just had some on assassins creed odyssey but I've heard it's the games fault with some bad optimizations. Anyway it's a beast of a card and 100% worth it if you're willing to upgrade.

Both AMD and Nvidia are about to release new cards around September, both architectures will offer a much better bang per buck than what is currently on offer. I'd wait till end of the year.

Yeah but then again theres always the next best thing coming out. Don't really know.. the same thing was said from the RTX 2000-series and to be exact, the 2060 and 2070 models being absolute beasts for mid and higher end builds, then nvidia launched the super cards which blew the normal 2000's out of the water.

You can never win when it comes to buying tech 😀
