Question Vertical line on monitor ?

Monitor: Samsung CF791

My monitor is starting to fail I guess but wanted to ask if anyone can tell what causes the problem. Should I buy a new one or try to fix it? Thanks in advance.

If the panel is exhibiting the same line across multiple display sources(like different PC's and laptops) then yes the panel is on it's way out. Though are you under any warranty scheme(assuming you purchased it much later than when it was released)?
