Very bad internet connection on different OS

Windows works just fine. I am figuring out what happened to my cable as it appears to not wanting to connect to Internet anymore (keep showing unidentified network/no internet).
Anyway that is not really the problem since I have a wifi adapter for my desktop. Speed is not good but acceptable. Some lags in online games but still end up top of the scoreboard.

Now the problem when I switch to Ubuntu 16.04 internet barely gets connected. Could it be driver issue? It worked fine with wired cables.
Is there anyway to fix the cable issue? It is a 10 meters long cable so I don't really want to spend money again on another long cable.

I'm a bit confused, you're talking hard-wired? You mention Wifi, and I'm not sure why.

If all was good inside Windows, and it's not inside Ubuntu, then it definitely sounds driver related. Ensure you have the appropriate drivers installed for your network adapters.

My cables appears to be broken. Cable is the only way I can make internet working. WiFi is now my alternate solution and if there is any other way to fix my cables because it seems to be receiving signals
