hey everyone

So recently I'm having a lot of frame drops in games like minecraft and League of Legends. My frames are sitting around 200 and drop to 120 is some cases. I didn't have this problem a few weeks ago, but I always had relative low frames in those games for the computer I have. I ran MSI afterburner while I was playing a game and I noticed that even in minecraft my CPU usage for every core stays within the zone 85 to 100 as you can see here: https://gyazo.com/d3bd6502b59a5eee4d3b9f880195af7a

First of all is it normal that my CPU usage is so high? Can the high CPU usage be the reason that I get fps drops and relative low fps? and how can I lower the CPU usage?

these are my specs:
-gtx 1070
-i5 6600K not overclocked
- 16GB ram
- MSI Z170A gaming pro carbon motherboard
- My CPU get cooled with a corsair liquid cooler; but I don't now what type it is.

I would also like to say that witcher 3 for example runs fine and the games also never freeze, just fps drops.

Thanks for helping me

It's an MSI 1070. The temperature of both the GPU and CPU are normal tho.

1. Ok that knocks it down to about 12 different cards :) ... which MSI 1070 ?

2. Normal doing what ?

a) What is max core temp recorded by HWiNFO when running RoG Real Bench ?
b) What is max GPU temp running Furmark ?

3. What is using all the CPU cycles in Task Manager ? Click on top of column to tank by most usage

1. It's an MSI GTX 1070 GAMING X 8G
2. Can't get on my pc now, but when I did the test 30min ago the temp of my CPU was around 38 for each core. The GPU temp was also ok.

I'll try to get you that info as soon as I can get back on. Should be within 5/6 hours

Thanks for your help so far

I think I found the problem. Turned out that razer ingame engine was using 50 or more of my CPU. by turning it off the CPU usage stayed around 30 and the noticable fps drops are gone. Do you have any idea how I can get rid of this software? I uninstalled synapse, but this program stayed.
