I play Cs:Go, a lot, its pretty much the only game I play. I have an Intel i7-5930K Clocked at 3.50GHz but for some reason it is very unstable while playing the game causing fps lag witch in game is very bad. The cooling is fine the temp doesnt go above unsafe levels and I have no idea what the problem could be. I would be extremely thankful for any help!
If I need to provide any more info let me know!

My understanding is CS:GO is largely a single-threaded, horribly optimized title. Frame drops in the game are not uncommon with any CPU.

Certain games cannot handle *hyper-threads* and will perform at a lower level in certain circumstances with it enabled.

Also --- some 'single-thread' games and applications are subject to a phenomena known as *core-hopping* (though this tends to be more of an issue with conventional AMD cores and older PhII x6 'Thubans').

If either of those is the case, presumably in your BIOS you may configure and save a separate profile which disables hyper-threads AND also limits the number of CPU cores available for the game.

SO . . . try to run it with one or two cores --- at a minimum this should eliminate...

Some of the cores are running at 14% some jump from 40% to 80%
If you could give me some information on underclocking that would be great

Just set the speeds to default

Gpu: GeForce GTX 970
RAM: 32GB
Res: 1920:1080 60Hz
Windows 10

I believe the speeds are set to defualt

3.5GHz is the stock clock, so you don't need to underclock. 40-80% is load bouncing from one thread/core to the other is not much load at all. So I'd suggest looking elsewhere for your problem. I'd personally start by doing a clean graphics driver install, first by using DDU to clean out any and all old drivers that sometimes get left behind during updates. DDU can be found here: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

dang im blind i thought it said overclocked to 3.5 ghz lol

Doing a clean install of my Graphics card worked a little bit but the problem still happens.
Whenever a flashbang goes off, off screen I will get a fps stutter resulting in the game freezing up for a split second making it very jumpy. It also occurs if there is a lot of gun fire

SO . . . try to run it with one or two cores --- at a minimum this should eliminate the CPU usage 'hopping' between a bunch of cores. The side benefit is that 2 cores alone should run a consistent 3.7GHz in *Turbo'd* mode (at least, that's what Intel claims with the 5930K).
