I have successfully changed the main process name in task manager to "NotZ"

but I still cannot change the subprocess under it..
I tried to change it via resource hacker and hex workshop, got no luck on both
If someone knows an easy way to change it, please lemme know asap

the window also have the same name that I'd like to change

The only reason so I can see for this are malicious ones. It even rhymes with <mod edit>. So the fact that you won’t let us know what it was previously and what the sub process name really is looks really bad on you

edit - we don't need to go there.

Why would you want to do such a thing?

I'm just trying to test out something, basically I'm trying to bypass some sort of protection by changing this application's name, nothing serious but I've invested so much time into it and want it to work.

which process? change too much and windows will stop working.

@Mandark lets leave it to peoples imaginations without spelling it out.

It's originally an application, not a windows process

It is really easy to do, but as this sounds dodgy so I am not going to tell you 😘
