Hello guys. So my pc is pretty old. I started to get slow boot times from about 1 year ago. It took like 10 seconds for the beep and the rest was pretty normal. But last week it started to take about 1-5 minutes just for the bios beep and then it would take 30 seconds for the bios and 2 minutes for windows till the logon screen. My bios time in task manager is: 40 secs.

You should really think about sourcing a reliably built unit instead of trying to deal with a sketchy unit that can and will nuke your components. Unless you're looking for an excuse to get a PC rebuilt.

At this point, it could very well be your motherboard's BIOS being corrupt or the BIOS chip on it's way out. It could also be your storage drive.

You've been here for about 2 years, might want to keep a lid on the vulgarity as this is a family friendly site.
