Very loud system fan

So I just built a new PC and it seems to be working well, except the fan is extremely loud. I have never heard a PC with a fan this loud. I have downloaded SpeedFan and tried messing with the speed, but it didn't work, I assume I don't have the ability to alter the system fan speed.

It sounds like the fan is spinning at full tilt - it may not be aligned perfectly (due to shipping) - try loosening the screws that hold the fan to the case (should be 4 of them), then tighten them (do not over tighten them). See if that reduces the noise - if not, most computer stores should have 120MM fans that could easily replace it.

Thanks for the response. I took the side off and it turns out some wires were rubbing on the CPU fan. I feel like an idiot for not checking.
