Very Low CPU Usage

Hey so recently I have had a drastic FPS drops, I ran afterburner and saw in games that the CPU usage never went over 55%. I have an fx 6300 and an r9 390. I have noticed that my pc was dusty and I was wondering if that could be affecting it? The temps are fine but I am getting 70fps in CSGO where I usually got over 160. I also am unable to use disk defrag because some other program has changed it's schedule.

Try putting your CPU on high priority for CS:GO if that might help.

CPU usage is usually bad data to go off of. Have you changed anything about your computer ie. overclocking, new programs maybe?

Well I did add an SSD a Crucial Bx200 240GB SSD, I cloned my HDD over to it and then just put games into the HDD after formatting it. I also downloaded windows 10, rolled back to 7, I have been keeping the amd drivers up to date.

Dust will affect temperature all the time. What are you using to read the CPU temperature? The only way to read an FX chip is to read the thermal margins shown in AMD Overdrive. Any other software is unreliable when reading FX CPUs.

I currently use CPUZ as well as MSI Afterburner

Download AMD Overdrive and give us the thermal margins.
