VERY Low fps with gtx 970

I don't know whats wrong here but i'm getting very low fps in Minecraft and all my games. Vsync is off. Its not a bottle neck because i have an Intel i5-4440 3.10 Ghz. Any ideas because this is getting annoying. Also i have noticed that my gpu is stuck at a clock speed of 1050 Mhz most of the time.

You have the render distance maxed at 32, try lowering it to the default 16. Should give a huge performance increase, i go from 150fps at 16 RD down to 26fps at 32 RD.

Make sure you have your monitor plugged into your graphics card not your motherboard. I doubt that's the problem but make sure the monitor is on the port on the graphics card.
