Very reliable PSU recommendation?

I'm building a new computer for my parents. The components are pretty basic, just an i5-6600K with no GPU. I'm looking for a PSU, and the priority is reliability because it is a pain in then ass to fix their computer if it breaks down. Therefore I have no problem paying extra for a reliable PSU. The budget is $100, which I know is way overkill for such a basic setup, but I want a reliable PSU and I don't trust the cheaper lower wattage ones. Can go even higher if need to be.

One PSU I'm eyeing is the Seasonic S12II-520 which is on sale for a great price of $55.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

I wouldn't. First, with no GPU and only the IGP, the total power draw will be less than 150W. I would think if it's for the parents who are only surfing and what not the power draw will never go above 100W. To put an 80+ bronze PSU in this PC and ask <20% of the total output is just a bad idea. You are spending way to much money for way to much PSU and will cost them more money over the life of the PSU because it's not 80+ gold and running at a more efficient load.

Notice that this PSU is cheaper after rebate, 80+ gold rated, and smaller so running more efficient under load. The PSU you linked above as I said won't even be running at 20% of it's load, so it doesn't even need to be 82% efficient. This PSU was found to be 85% efficient at 20% load which is possible in this case.

You stole my power supply :)

Hi bcodemz :)

The Seasonic S12II-620 represents a very good budgetary buy at $65. It can also be got from Amazon atm for $50 and $44 with rebate. It is a pretty basic bronze certified unit with 5 years Warranty but should serve the purpose.
Personally myself and for longevity, I prefer the EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G1 which has a slightly higher Wattage than you probably need atm, is Gold certified, Fully Modular and comes with a 10 year Warranty.
Worth considering for extra expansion and if you want the best for your parents.
The PSU is arguably the most important part and lifeblood of your system and should not be underestimated.
