Hi all, the title says it all, I have to stick every devices literally to my computer case and close to the Bluetooth module for them to stay connected, once I get like 20 cm away from the case, I lose connection. My Bluetooth receiver displays "Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R)" in device manager. Also this is a desktop gaming PC. This is the furthest I can get from the PC case.
Things I tried:
  • removed, and installed all latest Bluetooth drivers and all other drivers.
  • checked services and they are all set to automatic and are running, I tried restarting them. one of them used to be stuck on manual and gave a parameter error while trying to change to automatic but I fixed it by editing it's registry.
  • Checked the ports on the motherboard, it's plugged in properly, no dust or residue.
  • Turned Bluetooth on and off, ran windows troubleshooter, restarted multiple times.
  • Checked with multiple different devices, and kept the connection limited to 1 device at a time.
  • Enabled "Allow other devices to find this PC.
  • Followed all the steps in this guide.
