Very slow download speed

Im using a wireless adapter for my computer because I want to use it in my room and not downstairs where the router is. Because of this I am getting 1.8Mb/s download speed and suffering. My internet and the computer in general are fine just the adapter is causing me to have horrible download speeds.

Is there anything I can do to fix this even in the slightest? My download for a game says 13 hours that is just crazy.

Generally, download over wifi is slower than a hardwired connection. Check the speed of your router as well as the adapter. If both are too slow for your liking, then you can either replace them (one or both) or connect a PC to the router with an Ethernet cable and transfer your games with a large USB drive or an external drive.

Or I guess have a hot-swap drive you can dump games onto and move that between as needed.
