Since i upgraded my pc and windows from w7 to w 10 iam really disappointed. PC boots for ages(mostly desktop programs). What worries me the most is first boot at the morning. When i first boot it my mouse goes crazy turning on random colors(steelseries rival). and even when it boots up desktop just is so slow that you cant do anything and i need to restard.... every time. Then when i restart or even shut down pc and boot it again mouse has normal colors and desktop loads fine. Iam worried its something with electronics that not right. maybe pc gets cold over time and acts like that?

i5 6600k , 2x8gb ddr4, gtx 1060, xfx ts 550w, asus z170 pro gaming.

Solution
try this
right click start button
choose command prompt (admin)
type SFC /scannow and press enter

if it comes back saying its found corruption it cannot fix, copy/paste this next command into same window - needs to be exact:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

if you upgraded from 7 and haven't done a fresh install since, it could be reason as weird things can happen after upgrades that aren't problems on a fresh install.
Are you running a HDD or SSD? your PC shouldn't be slow at all considering.

you can try turning off fast startup, it may fix the first boot thing - http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/4189-fast-startup-turn-off-windows-10-a.html
Do you have latest bios for motherboard? Do you use AI Suite 3 as I think it updates drivers for you now.

A fresh install of Win 10 could fix it as well, it might be old drivers slowing boot time down.

Hi there Gazi,

I would agree with Colif. I believe that a clean OS install may sort the issue out.

Apart from that, once your system boots, you can go to Resource Monitor and see if there is high disk usage and what is causing it. Depending on that, you may need to disable some Win Services/Settings in order to reduce the high disk usage.

Testing the drive will not hurt: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/282651-32-best-diagnostic-testing-utility

its not only slow booting. now 80% times i have to restart pc after first boot simply because first boot(sometimes hdd works 100% for hours if i dont do that) gives me long boosts, errors and stuff like that. Today when i was booting my pc programs like comodo firewall, skype, and couple more were throwing red errors that cant bew booted. i needed to restart my pc and all was fine. I think long break(like 12 hours) makes my pc freez or something and it acts like this... ;/. There was not such an issues with my old pc.

Ah, and similar problems happen when i hibernate my pc and wake it from sleep. For example yesterday when i woke up my pc from sleeep ai3 just broke, my fans went nuts working 100%. when i tried run program again my cpu was used at 100% and program didnt run. Needed restart to "repair it". Srsly considering going back to windows 7.

What happens when you boot into safe mode?
If your system runs fine over there, then all of this is most probably caused by the OS.
If the issue persists, then it could be a hardware issue.

Apart from all this, I believe it may be a good idea to test your HDD with some of the tools from the link.

which drivers did you update? I generally don't update drivers if PC is working fine to begin with... or do you mean just after the update it booted in 45, but now its 90?

Have you checked to see if any newer drivers than what you updated before? probably sata or chip set drivers. Maybe BIOS.

could run seatools for windows on sshd and check it out

When is it slow? before login or after? can try a clean boot and see if its a start up program or windows causing it

all drivers were the latest i used and it now boots over 90 seconds. before i log in and i disabled password and it was sluggish on internet before thats y i upadted now its kinda slower in windows slightly. thought of doing a restore to see if it helps but i have work files i dont want to lose.ill have to backup files before i try that. nut im going to run seatools first like you suggest or rolling back drivers. let me see the seatools first ill let you know
thx

You could try system restore. All it does is roll back driver install or system settings back to date you choose (from a list of system restore dates). It won't touch other files.

go to settings/update & security/recovery/advanced start up - click the restart now option
choose troubleshoot
choose advanced
choose system restore
pick the most recent date, should be one matching up to just before drivers were installed

PC will roll back settings to that date & restart

I used to use driver updater 3 to install drivers and two times it installed wrong drivers and both times system restore fixed problem. I no longer trust driver updating software unless it comes from the maker of the hardware it is updating.

I rolled back from inside my iobit driver pro 4.2 and it didn't solve it seems more responsive but I think I'm gonna do a restore and try that it could also be possibly the critical windows update that installed the same day I did the changes to my PC drivers or that I didn't realize until I looked at the restore points.
