Very slow SSD (2nd percentile)

My friend just bought a 2nd hand pc and it has a 120gb Kingston A400. After testing it on userbenchmark (https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/11700050) I saw that it had terrible ssd speeds performing in the 2nd percentile. I am almost 100% sure it is using a sata 3 port and I will get him to download kingston ssd manager and update the firmware.

Did your friend do a full reinstall of the OS and everything else?
If not, he should.

I made sure he wiped the pc and installed the os again.

Maybe the drive was just used and abused.
