Hello People !

I'm planning on buying the MSI GTX 1080Ti from Newegg, and the total cost amounts to about 53000 Rupees (Including shipping costs).

However prices of this GPU at sites like amazon.in and primeabgb are greater than 70000 Rupees. So any ideas why there is such a huge price gap ? Is Newegg a reliable site to order stuff for my PC from India ?

Any help is greatly appreciated :)

Does Amazon India break down the charges for you too if you get to checkout? Maybe you can see where the difference is.

Here in the US we have a 'sales tax'. That's a tax you pay when you buy something, based on the cost of the item. Any costs to import the item were already added to the price of the item before the sales tax is counted. So no, I don't think import duties includes all taxes.

If your total cost from Newegg is 56000 Rupees, then the local sales tax, if you have one, would be on the entire 56000. About a 30% tax would take you over 70000

Well while I proceeded to check out, there were three different charges.........

1. The cost of the GPU- about 49000
2. Shipping charges- 3000
3. Import duties- 3000

Local taxes of 30000 Rupees sounds a bit absurd.
Shouldn't import duties include all taxes ?
