Hi guys ,

I am facing a really annoying problem with my vga. I own a HD 6850 Windforce edition graphics card.It has two fans on the cooler. One of the fans though makes a noise. It sounds like something got stuck inside of the fan and it spins all over it . But actually there is nothing. I didn't see something bothering the fan spin. So I downloaded msi afterburner just to decrease the fan speed and nothing happened. Finally I found a "trick" if u can call it so : When the pc starts the fan is noisy , then I open up msi afterburner and I increase the speed of the fans to 75-80% for about 5 minutes. After 5 minutes I set it back to default and u cant hear the noise anymore. Does anyone know what is wrong with that fan ? Should I replace it ? If so what fan should I buy. Should I repair it ?
Thank you guys in advance !!

Solution
Only things that can go wrong with fan to make noise would be it's bearings, dried out or worn out. In first case and if you are handy you can take it out and apart so it can be oiled or greased. In second case greasing it may help for a while but not forever.
