So i bought a pc and it arrived earlier today, it was a prebuilt pc, i would usually build my own but i found it at a good price and i dont think id be able to build it myself for the same price. When it arrived i started setting it up doing the usual and noticed i was getting no display, checked the mobo and noticed the vga light was on. As standard i removed the gpu and tried to reboot and everything came on and worked as expected, all specs were exactly as were listed and everything seemed to be working great. I checked over the pci slot and over the gpu for any potential damage and could not see any, checked the cables from the psu were fitted correctly and checked over all the other cables in the pc. I tried again and got the same result. I tried deleting all display drivers, building the pc outside of the case to try the other pci slot and even removing cmos battery to try to reset bios. Nothing i do will fix it, the gpu is new and the person i bought the pc off is adamant it had been running before it was sent out and everything was working fine, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

For something that you bought brand new and as a prebuilt, you shouldn't be troubleshooting it. Instead relying on the systembuilder/shop that you purchased off of to help you troubleshoot. If they can't help you, you should return the system.

Just an FYI, they could void your warranty on grounds that you tampered with the system.

Got a link to the prebuilt system you own? If you can, parse the make and model of the PSU. What you've stated is the advertised wattage of the unit.

The psu is an evga vex supernove nex750b

Apologies i used the term “prebuilt” pretty loosely, i bought it off a private seller already built. He has offered some advice and all the parts are under warranty, but i like to attempt to sort something myself before going to the trouble of sending things back.
