Question VGA on BIOS (ASUS)

I have a cracked (like as in cannot see anything except a small portion of the corner) asus laptop that is booting into bios instead of windows, and while I do not know the issue for that, first I need to fix the screen. The monitor works on other laptops fine, and so i know thats not the problem. I have tried disconnecting the internal screen, and it still does not show up on the monitor. I could not find the model, but the mb version is this: MB VER.:x502CA

Which monitor are you attempting to use? Which interface are you using (HDMI, DP, VGA) and are you using any adapters?

The laptop has both VGA and HDMI - have you tested both?
