VGA to HDMI adapter not working

I bought a VGA to HDMI adapter today,the one with Audio Jack and Power jack.because i need to connect my old vga monitor to the Hdmi slot of my gtx 1050ti.the first time a tried it(with power attached) it didnt work,then i tried a couple of times then it worked,when i reboot my pc,it didnt work again,after several tries,it worked again then after my reboot it didnt work again,i was setting up my geforce driver so i need to reboot more than once.i tried so hard but it's not working anymore,can someone please help me

I am using an active Vga to Hdmi adapter and whenever it's not working,theres totally no display at all

Is this a name brand adapter or something you picked up on ebay for $10 or less?

That does not tell me at all what brand or quality it is.

Have you tried this another computer or display?
