VGA to HDMI or VGA to Mini DisplayPort?

I want to use a CRT for older PC games along side my regular widescreen LCD monitor.

My main concern is which will cost more image quality loss, VGA to HDMI or VGA to Mini Display Port?

Those are the only free ports i have on my PC, and the monitor is only VGA, i have a DVI-D port that's used by an LCD monitor.

Both HDMI and display port require an active adapter for VGA output. HDMI and display port are both digital only interfaces. VGA is analog. Quality will be dependent on the adapter in either case. There is no quality difference based on input to the adapter.
