I have a problem with vgasave drivers only loading instead of Nvidia Drivers. Basically in Device Manager under display it shows i have NVida drivers installed when i clicked "update drivers" in device manager which Nvidia are the correct Drivers for the the computer (I have tried uninstalling Nvidia drivers in safe mode and reinstalling several times and this does not work) However in graphics properties it's showing VGASave as the active driver, Thus It won't display on dual screens or work properly. When I try to start Nvidia driver software, it says I have no Nvidia GPU installed. I have two ZOTAC GTX 460's not currently in SLI in an Asrock pro gen 3 motherboard with nvidea 314.22 drivers. Iv tried newer drivers with no luck. This computer has worked fine for last 4 years. One of the GPU cards has a yellow sign in device manager but that is the GPU card that working monitor is actually plugged into a DVI to vga adapter plug. 2nd monitor that is not working is plugged into HDMI socket. Iv tried plugging into 2nd GPU without yellow sigh in device manager with same results. How do I get Nvidea drivers to recognize that Nvidea GPUs are installed and start up in place of vgasave driver? (In mscofig/boot tab "base video" and nothing else is checked). Windows updates are set to manual to avoid problems and it was not updated prior to problem and no new software installed. HELP!!!
