I just heard that VIA introduces an processor of 733 Mhz. Could anyone tell mw the meaning of that figure in performance comparison wiuth other CPU when both AMD and Intel has climbed to 3G. The same question is also for MAc Power

It's a cheap CPU with low power consumption and a lot of integration. It'll be aimed at business based operations.

AMD Is An Anagram Of MAD, Intel Is An Anagram Of INLET, Cyrix...Ah Who Cares?

VIA has the best CPU's that you can run without any fans. Virtually silent operation appeals to many.

These CPU's are usually integrated with Via's mini ITX format motherbaord. THe board is only about 8"x8"...This small formfactor lends itself to many creative uses.
As far as performance compared to Intel or AMD it sucks. There is no comparison. Even a PIII at the same clock speed would smoke the VIA. VIA is has marketed its chips very well to a gorup of users that AMD and Intel missed.

Get your own sig!!!

An underclocked Tualatin Celeron can be run at very low voltage without fans and still have far more power than any VIA cpu.
