I've been away for a while (had kids) and looking to slowly get back into some gaming. Nothing too crazy but the games I enjoy playing is counterstrike, call of duty, etc. I'd like to spend about 150-250 in the used market and would like to know what you guys suggest.

My current pc is an overclockced i7-2700k, 8gb ram, ssd. Later on, I may build a whole new system but for now. I'd like to get this one up and running. My kids (9 and 7) have been bugging me for a computer. Thanks in advance.

Used to run 1080ti on an overclocked 2600k at 4.5 and that ran fairly well, about 10~15fps lower compared to 8700k.

Im assuming your motherboard is uefi? The board i had did and was p8p67. Z68 isn't uefi afaik but if board was from one of the main AIB partners, not OEM like HP and I'm guessing so since you're overclocking then you still have a good chance running uefi cards. Used to run 1070 on lga 1366 i920 system and that was legacy and booted uefi card fine, albeit 10 series were pretty forgiving with legacy boards. If your board is uefi, an RTX 3060 would probably work too if that's easier to locate second hand.

Ya, power supply might be the other hurdle.

I have to double check but I think it is a uefi board. It's an Asus board that I had saved several oveclock settings many years ago.

I have a 750w psu so it should be adequate in powering rtx cards. Im thinking an rtx 2070 or rtx3060 second hand.
