I have a Dell OptiPlex 780 running windows 10 professional with current video card being GEFORCE GTS 450 and I wanna play stuff like call of duty sports etc. What card would be a medium kind upgrade please and thanks ?

OK. That would mean you have the Mini Tower APFC version (looking at your 305w PSU aswell). Your PSU's max combined 12v output should be 240w.

I couldn't find anywhere about any power limited slots, or PCIe connectors/MOLEX connectors, so I am led to believe the motherboard's PCIe x16 slot is not power limited (it can draw 75w) and no PCIe connectors / molex connectors to adapt from.

EDIT: With that PSU model provided, I can confirm there are no PCIe 6 pin connectors.

So probably the best you can get would be a GTX 1050ti that has a <= 75w TPD and does not need PCIe connectors.

I can`t thank you enough for your kindness and patience . it`s been an adventure to figure this out. The tower was given to me so I guess I can`t complain to much. Thanks again

Glad I could help. One last note: be considerate of your CPU's (I believe is the E8500) performance in game aswell, before upgrading the GPU.

Two more questions if you will be so kind then I`ll stop bugging you....lol....On the call of duty game itself recommends at least Geforce GTX 660 which is a old card now but with that card and what I got cpu gpu where do I stand if I could get hold of that particular card ? Leads me to 2nd question it says Directx11 on game and me having directx12 does that mean the card is not compatible ? Yeah stop laughing ....haha I am 58 and not real nerdy in this side of things .. Patience :)
