Video Drivers

I had to use the windows cd to repair windows....it would not boot up. It would stall at the startup screen. So I got it repaired and when I finally got into windows I realised that it was using the basic vga drivers that come with windows...
At first windows was confused with what SP1 and 2, windows update said I had SP2 but when i got info on MyComputer it said SP1. I finally got SP2 installed but it won't let me install ATI drivers...says it cannot continnue to install and I should get basic VGA drivers first...I am so confused...please help, thanks.!

Your system is so messed up so stop wasting time to try to fix it, backup and fresh install it with only SP2...no need for SP1 to be installed first as SP2 has all the fixes from SP1.

-Always put the blame on you first, then on the hardware !!!

Upgrade your CD to SP2 burn one straight copy and another with an answer file so you can do an unattended install (guides all over the forum/internet).

One your system works perfectly backup your OS partion with Ghost.
