Question Video editing software causes BSOD

Hello.

Lately I've been having with video editing software. Whenever I use them (used after effects and hitfilm) for around 30 mins everything freezes and I get a BSOD with message DPC Watchdog Violation Error.

How can I fix this?

What editing software? From legit sources and up to date?

What are the specs for your system (make/model of each component)? Are you overclocking anything (CPU, GPU, memory)?

Does this happen when rendering files? Or, at other times as well?

Is Windows up to date?

Drivers (video, network, motherboard chipset, etc) up to date?
