Video games have boxes all over the screen.

Most games (90%) I play have issues. Either there are a ton of colored squares all over the screen, or the game runs really slow if I don't have the desktop composition turned off (Battle.net games only for desktop composition). Here is an example of a steam game running with the colored squares. https://imgur.com/2mXx7Wb https://imgur.com/GLlX9IO https://imgur.com/yf0Ii2n

Anyone have any clue as to what it is? I have a Nvidia Geforce GTX 1070 in case you need to know. My computer runs the games really well performance wise, just has those boxes.

Solution
There's a fault with the card or its driver software.
Try reinstalling the Nvidia driver suite.
Download it only directly from the Nvidia site and use the 'clean install' option, this should result in a pristine install.
If the problem persists you need to contact whoever is responsible for the warranty to make a warranty claim, the card is defective.

This looks like a broken gpu to me.

I am not well versed in computers sadly. So I am not exactly sure what you mean by that if you care to explain. Again this only happens to video games, and even if the game is windowed, its only inside the game window and not outside of it.
