My PC has began randomly cutting out video output to my monitors. It'll happen randomly as I'm using the PC and rebooting does not solve the issue, the only "workaround" I've currently got is to:
  1. Unplug power to the GPU and plug a monitor to the motherboard output. Turn on PC for output from MB.
  2. Shut down, reconnect GPU power (and the monitor to the card) and reboot to use the card again. Otherwise, I can remote into the PC using Chrome Remote Desktop.

This only lasts for anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour before cutting out again.

I'm not sure if I'm having a component failure or driver failure, I've updated my graphics drivers and rolled back any windows updates which happened just before this started occurring.

It's confusing as neither my graphics card, nor motherboard outputs work consistently, I have to do the workaround as both seem to fail at some point.

I also know for certain the monitors are not faulty.

I've tried:
  • Removing and reseating the GPU and RAM sticks
  • Disconnect all drives except the OS drive (m.2)
  • Resetting CMOS
Any help would be appreciated, my specs are:

i9-9900k
EVGA GTX 970 FTW
16gb Corsair Vengeance DDR4 RAM
MSI MAG Z390M MORTAR
1tb Samsung 970 Evo Plus M.2
Corsair CX600

Many thanks
