Question HD Video is stuttering and freezing on laptop ?

Laptop model: HP EliteBook 8570p

Hi Thanks for reading,

When i try to play an HD video on my laptop i get a lot of stuttering and freezing. When i playback the same video from external media like a usb hard drive, the video plays fine.
I have been on the hp website and updated all the drivers, but no difference. Also I have used iobit driver booster to search for missing drivers, it found two, but this made no difference.

what type of drive is this that you see problems playing video?
how full is this drive?
what else is running on this drive when you see the issues?

watch Task Manager's Performance tab while video is playing and see how this drive is performing while a video is showing issue.

using 3rd party driver search options is never a good idea.
they should always be provided directly from the component manufacturer.
