[citation][nom]aevm[/nom]--- "feel free to weigh in with any comments you might have about this new video format." ---Well, I think it's a bad idea. Some of us have caps, some times brutal (e.g. 25 GB/month) on Internet usage, and videos consume a lot more bandwidth than text + images. Some of us read these articles at work, when they really should be working. You can read an article with text + images without being obvious. If you have to put headphones on, it becomes obvious. Also, some of us reading these articles at work may not have a sound card at all in the computer, or it may be very low quality (e.g. I couldn't really hear what the model was saying). And finally, I personally prefer to read a page of text in a few seconds rather than wait for a model to read it for me in a few minutes. OK, if she's really pretty, I might spend the few minutes, but I can't afford to do that too much so I'll end up reading fewer articles. You will get fewer page hits that way.In conclusion, go ahead and use the videos, but add the text there as well.[/citation]
Check out the story that went live right next to this one on the front page. Tried to make sure we'd satisfy both camps today ;-)

Anybody remember the Tomshardware videos they did back in the day (2003-2005)? I do and some are still on youtube, take notes Tom, you guys should keep it like you use too but improve on it e.g. cool music, good camera shots, good comparisons, graphs, charts, a person who knows what they are talking about, and a unique feel to the video. I have been waiting for you guys to bring back videos for awhile but not like this.

P.S. I know Toms your trying to expand coverage of tech and everything but the community around here cares only about what you do best and you guys should stick to that.

Christ almighty guys. Nothings changed since the caveman days huh? She did a good job. Just enjoy the review and go back to being forever alone on WoW, gracefully if possible.

[citation][nom]ddan49[/nom]First of all..."On the other hand, it seems that Freud would have a field day with your slip-ups and lack of self esteem". Had to do that. Sounded terrible. Anyway...Why so worked up? By the way, blind girlfriends don't count... is that statement still true? Who said I have issues with my looks? I like the fact that I have four legs and hooves...Anyway, isn't the information the same? I don't care if a potato tells me the review... it'll still be the same information. By the way, flinging up flimsy defenses (like "I work in TV advertising"... how convenient, and "My current and previous girlfriends...") in order to prove that you are somehow better than I am (isn't that what you're trying to do?) isn't a good strategy.I'll have you know I'm the president of Greenland, I command an army that's hidden on the dark side of the moon, I have several thousand girlfriends and one turtlefriend (it's complicated), and it seems Aristotle would have a field day with your PURE EVIL![/citation]

This was the best reply I've read in a while. Good work my friend. X-D

Why would anyone buy this CR$&, when AMD will release Trinity based ultra-thins within the next couple of months? :non:

For the same price as one of these nearly useless machines, anyone will be able get a full version of Windows 7 (64-bit) on an AMD powered ultra-thin notebook, and actually play modern PC games, at resolution superior to all existing console game systems and the fact that we can also use the built-in HDMI port to output said games to a TV is just icing on the cake (and with Eyefinity you can actually do multi-monitor output).
:ouch:

In addition, unlike the iPad3 owner, we'll be able to accurately and beautifully stream anything to a TV with that same built-in HDMI, we'll have 2-3 USB ports, and a HARD DRIVE, all at 17mm-22mm thickness and comparable weight to the iPad, with longer battery life (12 hrs, but ~6hrs at full load, from what I've read).
:ouch: 😱

PLUS, a Trinity ultra-portable ... HAS A KEYBOARD, and Windows 7 64-bit still has more "apps" than any other platform, thanks to Windows backwards compatibility!
😱 😱 😱

Don't be a sucker - don't buy into the iHypeFactory. Instead, wait a month or so and get a Trinity ultra-portable for the same price with loads more features and performance.
😀

Yeah, I only clicked on it for the girl, too. I couldn't care less about iAnything. Also, she did make an effort to at least sound like she understood the words on the teleprompter, so I give her an A for effort.

Ok, enough bashing from both sides, please.
The girl is attractive but she stumbles over her words and doesn't speak with the sense of confidence that you'd expect from a reviewer. Take CNET, for example. Their reviews are nearly useless, but their reviewers speak clearly and fluidly, so people assume they know what they're talking about. This girl lacks that ambiance.

I think you guys are getting a little too worked up about dirtyferret's original comment. The unfortunate fact is that her review sounded unprofessional when compared to her peers (male or female, fugly or not, smart or stupid).

Much ado about nothing. I believe that if this girl would post her name and digits, everybody would be calling her for a date.
