Viewing old backup

Hello,
I'm trying to view my old backup for Quicken Deluxe 99 on my computer which has Windows XP. Unable to load the old program to download the back ups. How can I accomplish this?

If you still have a Windows CD for the version of Windows that software runs on you can install it in a virtual machine and access your backup from there. I prefer VirtualBox myself, but there are other free options.
