which screen would give me the best gaming performance? Image quality/ contrast. I'm running a AMD RX580 so 144Hz isn't super important to me, as long as I can game in the freesync range I'm happy. Which one will give the best image quality?

Well it seems like this viewsonic model, will be prone to have dead pixels.
Freesync should be fine with it, but don't expect high quality experiences with it.

The samsung is abit better, especially if you like vivid, colorful battlefields or looking at fine details.

The only problem with it is you might see some ghosting, especially if you are sensitive to detailing.

So with all that said, I snag up the samsung and get an extended warranty plan in case things happen.
