[SOLVED] Vintage Click Free Drive Not Seen

Hi, I am new here and hope someone can help.

I have an old click free backup drive which is not recognized by my Dell computer.
The drive has a bit of history -- shortly after I bought it, my DH decided to wrap the cable around the case and doing so must have damaged the internal connector. It would work just fine if one held the cable tight against the case.

I have been using it as a backup, no problem,
Very recently I tried to use it and although the little blue light comes on it is not found by the computer.
I can feel the vibration of the disk spinning, and when I go to Add Device, it will pop up and immediately disappear.

The connector to the case is an unusual one. Here is a picture of the end of the connector. connector

Is it possible to purchase a new connector?
Should I be looking for a new enclosure? If so, how do I open the drive to move it to new case?

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the advice.

By wiggling the cable I was able to get some of the data off the drive, and look forward to a long, arduous process.

BTW, does anyone know what the DC port does?
