HI,

As the title says I have a faulty current mobo and want to use my Tomahawk max mobo update so I can install my 5600x and Vipersteel ram in duel channel and at higher speeds. The mobo says it can run up to 4400 speeds the same as the ram speed profile of my ram. However the ram says its not compatitble with the mobo. Is this an issue or should it work if I reduce speed to improve cl timings? Or am I better off buying a new compatible Mobo for ram. Also got a 4070 on the way too.

Thank you.

My specs;
EG 27" QHD 144hz 1ms 2560 x 1440 Monitor
PHANTEKS Eclipse P600S
AMD Ryzen 5 5600x, RX5700XT
Crucial MX500 250GB, Samsung 850 Evo 500GB, 860 Evo 1TB,
Patriot Steel 2x8GB 3800Mhz 16,16,16,16,32
Tomahawk B450 Max, EVGA 650w QG

Sig space specs can and will change over time, when that happens, this thread and it's relevant suggestions/solutions will end up being moot to the user in the same boat as you're in. It's why we ask users to include their specs in the thread's body. I've shoehorned your specs in your thread's body.

What BIOS version are you on for your motherboard? Got a link to the ram kit you're working with? Ideally you should be on DDR4-3600MHz.

However the ram says its not compatitble with the mobo.
Where does that show up as incompatible? It's not in the memory QVL?
