Question Viruses for mobo's

So i need a new mobo becasue my current one is fried. I use an msi b250m pro-vd and found another cheap mobo (happens to be the same one) with the LGA 1151 socket fro my i5-7400. If the guy I'm buying it from has a test bench and can prove it works am I in the clear? Is there any viruses or other problems to worry about?

Viruses will be on your storage media like pen drives, hard drives and SSD's not the motherboard. If the BIOS is corrupted, you won't be seeing the BIOS splash screen, let alone a boot.
