Look at http://personal.cfw.com/~tkprit/page/pagefile.html

In your case, your best option depends on whether you have 2 physical drives or only one.

With only one drive, you have 256MB RAM and 1 physical disks with 2 partitions C: and D:. I would set the following:

1) On C: drive, a pagefile with size 512MB minimum and 512MB maximum.

With 2 physical drives, you have 256MB RAM and 2 physical disks C: and D:. I would set the following:

1) On C: drive, a pagefile with size 256MB minimum and 256MB maximum.
2) On D: drive, a pagefile with size 256MB minimum and 256MB maximum.

These configurations avoid the problems with fragmented pagefiles and also gives you a lot of page room spread across all your drives for best performance.

If you're using workstation (not server), it's tough to hit the page file extensively without using a second cpu (SMP). Making those page files 'static' (min.256, max.256) will help out some.
You can let Cleansweep run through your registry and clean 'junk' out, but you'd be lucky to notice the performance increase.
