Never had vision before. It is better than I thought,. I have discovered
that you can not download ringers to the Sanyo 8200 as you can barly hear
them at the loudest setting.
Perhaps it is me but the voice calls seem to be much better with Vision
than without. In any case I plan to keep vison as I have the 10 dollar
plan.

If all you can download is ringers, maybe you should dump it - but it
depends. Yes, the actual audio clips do seem softer, and I also foudn the
same thing with WAVs that I recorded, converted and uploaded. They must
be converted to QCP (Qualcomm PureVoice) compressed files in order for them
to work on a Sprint phone - this was probably done to maximize the amount of
stuff you can put on a single phone. It's a good idea, but I find that QCP
files do tend to lose volume. It was definitely true of some of the ringers
I recorded myself.

You shouldn't have the same problem with the MIDI ringtones.

Are you saying that call quality is better if you tack on a Vision
plan? Why should that affect call quality?
