VLC blu-ray work around not working

not working : /

made a "aacs" folder under %appdata%

put the key in it

installed 2.1.5? VLC

went to the VLC directory and dropped the "libaacs.whatever" in there.

went to VLC>menu>open disk>selected bluray> error'd

"Blu-ray error:
This Blu-ray Disc needs a library for AACS decoding, and your system does not have it.
Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'bluray:///D:/'. Check the log for details."

So is the aacs folder directly under appdata, or should it be in the roaming folder?

other suggestions? different version of VLC maybe?

AACS is a password for protection their copyright. VLC couldn't have a decoder for this. FYI, MAC GO blu-ray player could work.

VLC won't play protected Blu-rays. Either you can play the disc on blu-ray player or try to backup it as unprotected BDMV or MKV. MakeMKV, Handbrake, Bytecopy all work well.
