Volta or 1080ti

Hey guys so I'm building a PC right now and the aim is for me to switch into professional Dota. For this I have decided on a 144hz 1440p 24" with G-Sync monitor by Dell. Now I'm conflicted about the graphics card. Should I purchase a 1060 to hold me over until Volta or should I just buy a 1080ti? I was initially waiting for Vega but I feel somewhat disappointed by it.

go for the 1080Ti i dont think you should spend money one 1060 then wait for Volta either wait or get the 1080ti

You obviously dont need to wait people are considering waiting for volta to get a faster card you definately dont need anything faster than a 1080 ti for Dota not even in 4k
